Position Overview & Priorities
As a content strategy lead, you will be working with the Director of Inbound marketing to create, own and execute the strategy to improve the discovery and demand for CometChat with content at its core.
This role holds significant importance within the marketing team, offering substantial growth opportunities, high visibility, and the ability to make a substantial impact on the bottom line. We value individuals who demonstrate a strong sense of curiosity, a passion for learning, and a willingness to challenge assumptions and the status quo.
We operate on a hybrid model—you choose where you work! Remotely or from our offices. Currently, our talent is spread across 14 different cities globally.
Growth from organic channels (We steer clear of vanity metrics).
Increase brand awareness for CometChat and showcase how it addresses relevant problems through content, both on and off the website.
-Create and manage the organic content roadmap for CometChat, with a primary focus on optimizing for bottom-of-funnel (BOFU) and high-intent audiences.
-Conduct ongoing keyword and topical research to ensure the brand's discoverability.
-Establish internal processes to translate the content strategy into execution and take charge of the editorial process.
-Cultivate relationships with external agencies and freelance content writers for content creation.
-Identify relevant forums, communities, and third-party platforms for content syndication and promotion.
-Project manage content creation efforts involving customers, partners, and video creators.
This role is ideal for candidates who:
-Have prior experience in content/organic marketing roles for B2B SaaS products.
-Possess a strong understanding of SEO and organic growth marketing fundamentals, along with proficiency in content marketing tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console (GSC), SurferSEO, or similar equivalents.
-Demonstrate exceptional prioritization skills, with the ability to identify the most impactful activities (the 80-20 rule).
-Can articulate thoughts clearly, create frameworks, and deliver compelling pitches.
-Excel in project management, effectively managing their own workload and owned projects.
-Understand SaaS/tech products and exhibit a fondness for first-principle thinking.
-Embrace a fail-fast, learn-faster mindset.
