Position Overview & Priorities

As Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Product to drive the product strategy and development of the CometChat platform. From understanding the product vision to adding your unique perspective on product innovation, you will assist in shaping the direction of our product to excite our customers and to drive market share. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, legal and more. In this role, you'll be    responsible for product strategy and the growth and management of a team. Working with the sales team, you’ll meet with flagship partner brands to understand the needs of the market and to share the product vision.

As a successful candidate, you will exhibit in-depth knowledge and experience developing and leading product strategy SaaS infrastructure software applications. Three core attributes for success in this role are business acumen, ability to work collaboratively across teams and strong technical aptitude.

  • Define and execute product development.
  • Become a domain expert on our product with an in-depth understanding of how developers use it.
  • Understand the full scope of client-developers’ needs around growing their business, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing Team to contribute to development of top line customer narratives, thought leadership content and customer success stories.
  • Create dynamic and easy to understand internally facing content including sales enablement and training materials, competitive positioning, FAQs, and cheat sheets.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the business & product strategy. Track, measure and report against objectives.
  • Work directly with major partners and customers, to drive product roadmap.
  • Build and manage a team of product experts.

Prioritized Experiences and Capabilities :

  • 5+ years of experience in software as a service (SaaS) or infrastructure as a service (IaaS) product development, with a proven track record of releasing high quality products.
  • Experience leading product development for APIs and SDKs
  • You are a strategic thinker - you like to take a vision and make it a reality and you are always thinking of new ways to innovate.
  • Excellent communications skills – written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with CPaaS/SaaS/IaaS
  • Engineering background
  • Experience leading and working with geographically dispersed teams.
