Position Overview & Priorities

This is an individual contributor role that has the ability to have a direct impact on the Company's growth and affect revenue. SDR's are recognized as a very important part of the Growth team. You will get to interface and work with global clients who are innovating and building modern technologies that can change the world

You will be part of the initial core SDR team that is being setup, hence a tremendous growth opportunity for your career

Purpose

Solve and Identify problems/opportunities that our customers face. Our product should be in their consideration choices, and we should help them to make the best decision in their interest of growth.

Work Location 

We operate on a Hybrid model – you choose where you work from! Remotely or from our offices. Currently, our talent is spread across 14 different cities globally.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Nurture leads who have shown interest in your solution and have already engaged with your company through its marketing channels.
  • The role of an SDR in Cometchat is similar to that of a consultant where they actively listen and provide an appropriate solution to prospects.
  • SDRs understand the prospect’s business model; analyze if your product is a good fit, and educate leads on how your solution can help solve and improve their business.
  • Work within the ICP at most times

75% of your time will be spent in:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects
  • Setup Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) with AE for Product Demo hand off

20% of your time will be spent in:

  • Assess & Own opportunities that are below $399/user
  • Provide best in class Product Demo to the prospects
  • Close deals

5% of your time will be spent in:

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Contact potential prospects through cold calls and emails

  • Present our company to potential prospects

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and Sales Executives

  • Keep CRM Updated with all tasks and Customer Interactions

  • Build relationships and influence cross-functionally

  • Translate customer needs into business opportunities

  • Work independently and as part of a team

Prioritized Experiences and Capabilities

  • Overall 2-4 years of experience in SDR role (Inbound & Outbound), Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • At least 1 year of experience in an Inbound SDR role.
  • Good understanding of internet technologies (Front end, Back end,Cloud, Messaging,
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales prospecting techniques like cold calling, cold emailing, and social outreach.
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience working with Hubspot CRM is an advantage
  • Fair understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Experience working in a high growth environment
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Prior experience in selling to Technical engineers, developers, Technical Cofounders, Product Managers

Education

  • Any Graduate. PG – Management degree/diploma will be an added advantage

  • no of leads that AE closed

  • no leads with <$500 you were able to close (Stretch goal)
