Position Overview & Priorities
As CometChat’s first Developer Evangelist, you will play a role in building a passionate community of developers and partnering with our sales team to close and help set up new customers for success. In this role, you will:
Create engaging product demos, video tutorials, etc. to educate developers
Represent the voice of developers internally and provide feedback from developers to our product and engineering teams to improve the developer experience
Identify opportunities for CometChat to connect with the developer community and lead our engagement strategy
Join sales meetings or demos and lead technical discussions about the product and implementation
Partner with customers to integrate CometChat into their workflows and platforms
Manage the extension marketplace, helping customers to identify and then create relevant extensions
Work with our partnership team to ensure CometChat is available in relevant external marketplaces
Partner with marketing to ensure there is adequate documentation, education and support in place for internal teams and customers
Prioritized Experiences and Capabilities
Understanding of API and/or developer tools and exposure to the development and delivery of APIs and/or developer tools
Experience in similar technical roles in a SaaS company
Experience with React or other programming languages
Exceptional technical skills and the ability to communicate and present technical concepts to diverse audiences
Strong project management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through issues with a commitment to mutual success
Ability to create clear and effective documentation including blogs, presentations, demos and other technical content

Competitive salary (minimum $105,000) based on local market assessments, and may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
